As part of my internship at the Grão Vasco National Museum aiming to manage and enhance the museum's collections, I created some catalogs. I took care of all stages of the editorial design, from collecting information, processing images, structuring and pagination of information, to finalizing, finishing, and testing for printing at the printing house. The software used in these projects were Adobe Indesign and Adobe Photoshop.
The first developed catalog was dedicated to João da Silva, a notable Portuguese medalist, whose 73 medals that make up the MNGV medal collection were meticulously cataloged. The chronological order adopted in the catalog and the full-size graphic representation emphasized the most striking details of the works.
The second catalog was dedicated to the collection from the donation of Dr. Ernesto Pais de Almeida. Entitled “Um Fio Invisível” it encompasses diverse pieces, segmented into five distinct nuclei and crosses genres and styles, reflecting the variety and richness of the donation received.
